June 14-20 Yosemite NP and eastern vicinity

Last week four of us old farts (Alan 64 from Santa Cruz, Paul 70 from Boise and Myron 74 from Bellevue, WA) met in Yosemite NP for a week of hiking with a little fishing thrown in. We had great weather and hiked a new area each day. Most of our hikes were off trail. The elevations ranged from 9,500' (campsite) to 12,000' (Dana Plateau). I hope you get to see this area sometime.

Yellowstone NP

I drove over yesterday to meet Gary Freiberg (an old friend from Columbus now living in Atlanta), his daughter Sarah, husband Patrick and children Connor and Eliza. We are staying at Flagg Ranch and spent the day touring the SE corner of the park.
