Happy Birthday Elaine Fencl.
We were met at the hotel at noon by our guide Brian McCormack and to our surprise another trekker LeAnn from Australia. She was a last minute signee to our trip. The plan today was just to drive to our first "basecamp" in Leenaun at the Leenaun Hotel. On the way we stopped at a small mom and pop for a late lunch. It has poured rain and quite windy all day. We arrived at the hotel at about 4PM. Peg took a nap and I took about a 45 walk about town in the pouring rain. We met for an orientation at 6:30 and had dinner at 7:00. Tomorrows hike will be determined in the morning depending on the weather. It is supposed to be raining all week.

That's enough time in transit! All of those hours on the trails and Stairmasters in Boise will start to pay off tomorrow. Fingers crossed the weather cooperates. Love you.
