On the way we stopped at several early Christian High Crosses. According to Brian most were several centuries old.
We parked at a Church of Ireland church where we started the hike to Mullaghtan Signal Tower which was used primarily by the British as a land and sea watch tower. Shortly after the start of the hike it got very windy (guess sustained at 25-30 mph) and started to rain, at times quite hard. About one third of the way to the tower we passed St. Columba's Holy Well. It was a relatively short hike of 5.8 miles with 1,880' of elevation gain.
Tonight we are headed into Donegal Town for dinner at a pub.
Peg's feet to date blister free and she is doing great.
